The education system on Ekeskogs Riding Academy is structured as step-by-step courses, one piece of the puzzle at the time. This is in our experience the fastest and most effective path to development. But it also has an ethical dimension for the horse: Before we go on top of the horse, it has to be schooled in its body and ability to learn first from the ground. The rider should have developed their coordination and feeling for movement and communication before mounting. We also offer lessons in liberty dressage, which is an education system of its own, first from the ground and later on top of the horse.
Ekeskogs Riding Academy is founded and run by Hanna Engström who has dedicated her life to the art of riding. She is a licenced Bent Branderup® Trainer. We also have other instructors with different specialities. Contact the instructor you are interested in training with to book lessons.
Welcome as a Weekstundent to Ekeskogs!
Visit the beautiful island of Gotland and spend your vacation on Ekeskogs Riding Academy - come as a week student! Depending on your personal needs, we will figure out your individual schedule. You are welcome to bring your own horse and develop together! It is easy - follow the link below to read more about how to travel with your horse to us. You are also welcome to train with one of our well educated school horses. You have the possibility to focus on a main topic for you stay, e.g. the seat, the schools, biomechanics in horse and rider, basic of the Academic Art of Riding, young horse training, and so on. Feel free to communicate your wishes! You are also welcome to join our daily training with the horses, as well as the lessons of other students. During your stay you will have room on the farm. All the rooms have a kitchen, so you have the possibility to cook for yourself.
