Traveling with horsesPlan your tripI will recommend you to come 1-2 days in advanced of your training period. Then your horse has a chance to recover from the journey before work.
On the roadTravel by car to one of the harbors to Gotland. If you travel from Europe tour first destination in Sweden will be the city of Malmö, that connects Sweden by bridge to the rest of Europe. From Malmö you travel to the harbor Oskarshamn (takes about 5 hours). If you travel from Stockholm you go to the north harbor, Nynäshamn (about 1 hour from Stockholm). Hanna has several contacts with horse-people living along your road, where she has been staying over night with her horses. If you need to plan a trip that includes staying over night, do not hesitate to ask about these contacts.

Ferry to GotlandTo get to Gotland, you travel with the ferry from Nynäshamn if you come from Stockholm, or from Oskarshamn if you come from the south of Sweden. The ferry takes you about 3-3,5 hours and your horse has a chance to rest during this trip. Your horse will stay on your trailer, and you have an opportunity to serve your horse water, hay and check on it during once during the trip. My horses and my costumers horses has had a good feeling about the boat-trip. The company will not travel if the wind speed is too high.
Driving to EkeskogsYou arrive with the ferry in the city Visby, from which there is a 35 min drive south to Ekeskogs farm. Your arrival time is often late during the night, and we will have the box easy to find, and ready for your horse!
