Hanna Engström is the founder of Ekeskogs Riding Academy Gotland. Together with her family she runs a horse farm on the island of Gotland in the south of Sweden. Hanna has been dedicated to work with horses and people since her youth. Her passion is assisting horses and humans in understanding each other.
When she was 17 years old, Hanna started an alternative riding school for both children and adults, where body awareness and seeing the horse was the fundament of the education. Ever since, this has been the key themes in her work. The last 18 years she has been actively learning the Academic Art of Riding - a pedagogic, structured way to explain, integrate and handle the great knowledge of riding, and of build up a horse from the ground. Academic Art of Riding has an ethical vision of what is best for the horse in our work - when we spend time together as well as on horse back.
Today Hanna is working at home on the horse farm on Gotland, in between traveling around Europe for meeting her students.

Hanna Engström are dedicated to The Academic Art of Riding - a pedagogic school system for riders and horses. What makes me extra calm and satisfied is when the human and the horse find intimacy and joy together. I like to help to make that happened.
