How Is the Back of Your Horse?

Every horse has a unique shape, and understanding it is key to finding balance together.
One of my horses has a higher hind end, causing the front part of her chest to tip forward.
Picture
Since my own pelvis also tilts forward, this creates a challenging combination—making it harder for me to find balance and leading to tension in my posture.
To adjust the situation, I need to Padding up the front of the saddle to support my position
Check out the pictures below to see how I make these small but important adjustments! 📸😊

Check Your Foot Placement in the Stirrups

🔹 Classical stirrups are designed primarily to support just the toe, which can affect your balance and connection.
Be mindful of how your foot rests in the stirrup and how it influences your overall posture and stability in the saddle. Small adjustments can make a big difference! 😊🐎

Turning and Tilting

 – Becoming Aware of Your Pelvic Habits

How do you ask your horse to turn or bend using your seat?
It all begins with your awareness—understanding where you naturally place your "turning point."
🔹 Observe your habits—do you tilt, shift, or rotate unconsciously?😊🐎✨

Can You
Stay in Contact with Your Full Pelvic Floor While Tipping Up the Front Seat?

Join Hanna in the video and test it out! 🎥
🔹 Pay attention to how your pelvic floor stays engaged as you adjust your position.
🔹 Be mindful—tilting too much can make your seat bones too sharp, which may create discomfort or even harm your horse’s back.

Find the balance between movement and support, ensuring a soft yet effective connection. 😊🐎✨
